Crusaders submit Championship application

Crusaders RL have submitted their Co-operative Championship application to the RFL with the view to play in the competition next season.

The Welsh club withdrew their Super League licence application and there had been some doubt as to whether the club would exist next season.

However, with the news of Toulouse withdrawing from the Co-operative Championship at the end of the season, Crusaders were given the opportunity to apply to play in the competition with a deadline set of 5pm today.

The Crusaders club have responded by submitting their application and now have to wait to see if the RFL accept them to play in the Championship next season.
