North Wales Crusaders have announced two more pre-season friendlies against West Wales Raiders and St Helens respectively.

Mike Grady’s side now have three pre-season friendlies scheduled, starting on Sunday 21 January when they make a trip to Championship side Rochdale Hornets.

Rugby League will return to Wrexham the following week when rivals West Wales Raiders visit the Queensway Stadium.

And the final friendly before the League 1 season gets underway is against a St Helens Select side at home on Sunday 4 February.

On the friendlies, Crusaders CEO, Andy Moulsdale, said: “From a playing side, I think that it will give Mike a chance to look at everyone and judge where the lads are up to.

“They will be three tough games. Rochdale are obviously a Championship side with a number of ex-players from both clubs coming up against their old sides.

“West Wales Raiders have recruited well and the fixture is also a derby, and then in the St Helens game, you’ve got lads who are looking for Super League contracts and futures in the game.

“Hopefully it will start the season in a positive manner for everyone.”
