Coventry Bears have added to their squad for their first season in semi-professional rugby league by signing former St Helens winger Ben Parry.

“Ben is a very talented full-back or winger and we are very excited to have secured his services for our first season in League One,” said Bears head coach Tom Tsang.

“Ben has spent 6 years with St Helens RLFC and as such has a lot of great habits for a young player.

“He has fully bought into what we are building in Coventry and will be moving to the area to allow himself to perform to his fullest in both training and games.”

Parry himself is looking forward to the chance to help the Midlands team be succesful in their first season as a professional club.

“I’m really excited about joining Coventry bears,” he said.

“It will be a great experience and opportunity for me. I’m looking forward to playing at a new club who have high expectations and I will do my best in helping us have a great season.

“I’m sure we will play some good rugby and excite the fans.”
