Coroner rules Leatherbarrow death as suicide

A coroner has declared that referee Chris Leatherbarrow committed suicide.

Leatherbarrow passed away at his St Helens home on November 2 last year. His death shocked the rugby league community.

Leatherbarrow was just 27. He was a Super League official who had refereed a Championship grand final and a Northern Rail Cup final.
