Parramatta captain Clint Gutherson has signed three-year a contract extension with the club.

The 24-year-old made his debut for the Eels in 2016 and quickly became a fan favourite at Parramatta.

Gutherson, who has made more than 70 NRL appearances, will remain at the Eels until at least the end of the 2022 campaign.

Parramatta coach Brad Arthur said: “I love coaching Clint, the energy and commitment he brings to work every day is unparalleled.

“His team-mates look up to him and he sets a great example to the whole playing squad, I’m very happy he’s staying.”

Gutherson added: “I love the club and our loyal fans, I love playing the game and I love my team-mates so I’m very happy I’m staying.”
