Clark and Chase return boosts Castleford

Castleford are expecting to welcome back Rangi Chase and Daryl Clark for the game against Catalan on September 2nd.

Clark, 21, has been missing for the past three months with a knee injury, while Chase picked up a knock after recently returning from a club suspension.

Jamie Ellis will also return following a one-match ban, although Jonathan Walker is unlikely to be fit in time to face the French side.

Coach Ian Millward said, “There is no doubt the return of our three best playmakers, Rangi, Daryl and Jamie will give us a much-needed boost for the Catalans game.  Rangi and Jamie have only played together once this season so it will be great to see that combination back on the field.

“It will be a particularly emotional day next Sunday as some players will be playing their last ever home game for the club and in some cases, of their careers. We hope to give them all the send off they deserve.”

Castleford are currently fighting with Widnes and London to avoid the wooden spoon, with all three clubs sitting on 12 points.
