Championship ace Brad Billsborough has turned down two offers from Super League to sign a one-year deal with Grafton Ghosts, Love Rugby League can reveal.

The Germany captain started the 2018 season with Whitehaven in League 1, but impressive performances earned him a move to Championship outfit Swinton Lions midway through the season.

Billsborough caught the eye of two Super League clubs and several Championship sides with his remarkable displays for Swinton, but he has turned down full-time offers to take up a one-year contract with Grafton Ghosts, who act as a feeder club for NRL side Gold Coast Titans.

The Ghosts are based in New South Wales and lifted the Clayton Cup in 2017 for being the best team in Country Rugby League.

Billsborough, who has recently turned 20, made his international debut for Germany back in 2016 and has been an integral part of Simon Cooper’s side ever since.

The half-back came through the ranks in the St Helens academy and was part of their Under-19s side that went the season unbeaten in 2016. Billsborough also worked with the St Helens Community Foundation.
