‘When do the Super League clubs enter the Challenge Cup?’ is a frequent question we get asked on socials, so we’ve made it easier for you to find out.

All 12 Super League clubs will enter the 2023 Challenge Cup in the sixth round.

The first four rounds of this year’s competition have already been played, with the fifth round taking place over the weekend of April 22-23.

The fifth round throws up some interesting ties, including the West Yorkshire clash between Halifax and Bradford at The Shay, which will be shown live by the BBC.

The game on Saturday, April 22 will kick-off at 7pm, and be streamed live via the BBC iPlayer and on the BBC Sport website.

Meanwhile, The Sportsman will show Batley’s home tie with Keighley on Sunday, April 23 at 3pm.

The Sportsman showed York’s 24-22 win over Sheffield in the previous round via their YouTube channel.

In the other two ties in the fifth round, Keighley will make the short trip to Batley whilst York will host Newcastle.

The winners will proceed to the sixth round of the Challenge Cup and a possible meeting with a Super League side, as well as reaching the semi-finals of the 1895 Cup.
