Castleford’s Tigers Trust will launch a physical disability rugby league team this April.

The Tigers Trust, the charitable arm of Castleford Tigers, will launch a PDRL team that will provide an opportunity for those to play the sport who wouldn’t usually get the chance.

Ex-Castleford and Great Britain star Andy Lynch will coach the team alongside Tigers Trust development officer Neil Barnaby.

Lynch said: “We can’t wait to get started on this project.

“It doesn’t matter what ability level you are, or if you’ve never played rugby league before, this is your chance to give it a try.”

PDRL is a mixture of non-contact and full contact rugby league and can be played by anyone 6+ through to adults or any age and of either gender, provided they have a disability.
