Castleford defeat Wakefield 32-6

Castleford have defeated Wakefield 32-6 thanks to a four-try haul from Denny Solomona.

Solomona got his first after just five minutes. Oliver Holmes added the Tigers’ second two minutes later after a Ben Roberts bomb.

Luke Dorn then set up Solomona for his second four-pointer.

Six minutes before half-time and Reece Lyne got on the scoresheet for Wakefield, set up by a long pass from Jacob Miller.

Castleford had a 14-6 lead at the break.

In the 57th minute Dorn a got a try after finishing off a lovely Tigers move. Joel Monaghan then dived over to put the game out of reach.

Solomona crossed for two more tries in the final 14 minutes, one a spectacular 40 metre effort.

It was the Wildcats’ first friendly loss after victories over Featherstone and Leeds in recent weeks.
