Warrington prop Garreth Carvell has been handed a one match ban by the RFL Disciplinary Committee.

Carvell, 28, was found guilty of illegal use of the forearm in the Wolves win over Castleford on Saturday.

The former Hull man was also fined £300 for his challenge on Paul Jackson in the fourth minute of the match, but he is expected to appeal.

Team-mate Adrian Morley escaped a charge, after being found not guilty of making a reckless high tackle on Brent Sherwin.

Both players were referred to the disciplinary committee by the RFL’s Match Review Panel.

Catalans Dragons prop David Ferriol escaped suspension but was fined £250 after being found guilty of punching Harlequins forward Jason Golden in the French club’s defeat at Twickenham Stoop on Sunday. Ferriol had been sent off for the offence.
