Cahill to face Disciplinary Committee

Crusaders second row Hep Cahill will appear before the RFL Disciplinary Committee tomorrow evening after he was charged with committing an offence during Saturday’s Carnegie Challenge Cup game against Leeds Rhinos at Headingley Carnegie.

Cahill has been charged with a Grade A offence for kicking Leeds Rhinos player Rob Burrow in the 59thminute of the contest.

Halifax second row Sam Barlow will also appear before the Disciplinary Committee after he was charged with a Grade B offence for committing a high tackle in the first minute of his side’s Carnegie Challenge Cup contest against Bradford Bulls on Sunday.

Barlow will appear before the committee next week.

The Match Review Panel also issued formal cautions to the following players:

Stuart Donlan (Leigh Centurions) – dangerous contact on Catalan Dragons Jean-Philippe Baile in the 37th minute.
Menze Yere (Sheffield Eagles)  – dangerous throw on St HelensAde Gardner in the 64th minute. 
Michael Korkidas (Wakefield Trinity Wildcats)  – grapple tackle applying unnecessary pressure in the 17th minute against Doncaster
Rhys Lovegrove (Hull Kingston Rovers) – use of forearm in possession of the ball in 38th minute on York City KnightsMatt Garside.
Mark Bryant (Crusaders) – dangerous contact on Leeds RhinosLee Smith in the 34th minute.

The cautions will remain on the players’ record and could be considered in the event of future disciplinary breaches.
