Brisbane confirm signing of Issac Luke

Drew Darbyshire

Brisbane have signed hooker Issac Luke from St George Illawarra for the rest of the 2020 season.

The 33-year-old has made 274 NRL appearances for South Sydney, New Zealand Warriors and St George Illawarra. Luke has earned 37 caps for New Zealand on the international stage.

Broncos coach Anthony Seibold said: “We’ve brought Isaac here to give support to Cory Paix, who has had a positive start over the last two weeks, while Jake Turpin is out injured.

“He has won a premiership with Souths and captained New Zealand, so he brings that experience, and he has family up here in Queensland so it’s a good fit.”
