Braydon Trindall has signed a new two-year contract with NRL side Cronulla Sharks.

A member of the Sharks premiership winning Jersey Flegg team from 2018, Trindall progressed to where he was an integral part of the dual premiership success at the Newtown Jets in 2019 and has now forced his way into Cronulla’s 17-man squad during the current season.

The 21-year-old can feature at both half-back or five-eighth, and has been used by coach Josh Hannay as a utility role.

Hannay said: “It’s great news that Braydon has decided to stay with the club. I think we’re only just starting to scratch the surface with him as a player and what he can bring to the team.

“He’s a wonderfully gifted player with great instincts for the game and like many of the good young players in the squad, is seeing reward for hard work.

“I’ve seen Braydon mature a lot over the course of the year, going back to the start of pre-season and without doubt, the best is yet to come for him.”

Trindall added: “I’m very happy to have two more years here, I love the club and couldn’t see myself anywhere else at the moment.”
