Wests Tigers stand-off Braith Anasta is set to make a return to international rugby league with Greece.

Anasta, 31, won four caps for Australia some 12 years ago, but is now being lined up to play in Greece’s test match against Hungary on October 27.

The former Sydney Roosters and Canterbury Bulldogs player has made more than 275 appearances in the NRL.

He qualifies through his Greek father.

The side will be captained by former Wakefield prop Michael Korkidas, and coached by ex-Wakefield and Warrington player Steve Georgallis.

Meanwhile, the Greek domestic competition is due to kick off this weekend with five participants – Promitheas Rendi, AEK Kokkinias, Pegasus Neos Kosmos, Aris Petroupolis and Rhodes Knights.
