Bennett to wait on captaincy call

Wayne Bennett said he is no rush to decide if Sam Burgess or Sean O’Loughlin will captain England this year.

Burgess stepped into the England captaincy during the Four Nations with O’Loughlin out injured.

With the Wigan forward back fit the England coach will need to made a call on the skipper for the Samoa match in May and then the World Cup.

Bennett said deciding on a captain for the job won’t be hard.

“No that’s not a difficult decision,” he said.

“It’s only a difficult decision when you’ve got no one putting their hands up for the job.

“Having Sean O’Loughlin and Sam Burgess available won’t be a difficult decision.”
