Warrington forward Ben Westwood could be banned for up to five matches following his headbutt on Morgan Escare during the win over Wigan on Friday night.

Westwood, 37, has been charged with a Grade D headbutt by the RFL’s Match Review Panel, and he will now be referred to tribunal.

According to the RFL’s disciplinary tariff, a Grade D offence normally carries a suspension range between three and five matches.

Meanwhile, Wakefield back-rower Danny Kirmond has been handed a two-match ban for a Grade C dangerous contact.
