Barrow Raiders have announced the signing of hooker Jack Pedley from Cumbrian rivals Workington as they look to rebuild for life in Championship One.

22-year-old Pedley, who picked up the Championship One Young Player of the Year accolade last term, joins an exodus of players moving from Workington to Barrow including Scott Kaighan, Ruairi McGoff, Aaron Low and new Barrow Coach, Darren Holt.

Commenting on the signing, Holt told local press “I’m really pleased to have signed Jack.

“I saw first-hand last season how much he has improved, he’s a handful out of dummy half and has real speed and good distribution. He can only improve further.”

Barrow Director, Mike Sunderland, added “This is a great signing for the Raiders. A number of clubs were interested in Pedley and I am pleased that he has chosen to return to his home town club.”
