Wayne Godwin, Aaron Muprhy and Steve Snitch were all handed suspensions by the RFL Discliplinary Committee on Tuesday.

Salford hooker Godwin was given a two match ban after being found guilty of running in and punching during the Reds defeat by Crusaders on Sunday.

Godwin clashed with Clinton Schifcofske in the final minute of the game and was sent off by match referee Thierry Alibert. He was also fined £300.

Struggling Wakefield have been dealt a further blow after Murphy was suspended for two matches and fined £300.

The centre was found guilty of a dangerous throw, lift and drop during the Wildcats defeat to neighbours Castleford in Cardiff. The club have announced that they intend to appeal the decision.

Castleford forward Snitch was also suspended after being found guilty of a tackle that placed undue pressure on the joints of Wakefield’s Paul Johnson in the same match.

Snitch was suspended for one match, ruling him out of this weekend’s clash with Huddersfield.
