Arundel facing four months out

Wakefield coach Chris Chester has confirmed that winger Joe Arundel could be facing up to four months on the sidelines.

This is as a result of the knee injury the player sustained in the 44-10 Challenge Cup win over Sheffield Eagles last Friday.

“Joe had a scan on Saturday and he’s going to see the specialist [today] to go over the results,” Chester told the Wakefield Express.

“We will know after that whether he is going to need any kind of surgery. Hopefully he doesn’t, but the best-case scenario is he will be out for three to four weeks.

“The worst case is four months. It is very disappointing, he has been playing very well.”
