Anderson disappointed for Giants fans

Huddersfield coach Paul Anderson has expressed disappointment for his team’s fans, after the Giants were knocked out of the Challenge Cup on Saturday.

Anderson also admitted that his team had been totally outplayed by a high-quality Leeds outfit, who won the game 48-16.

“They were better in every department,” he told his club’s official website.

“They ripped in and got what they deserved. If you put the effort and the smartness in you get what you deserve.

“They ran harder and had more vigour in everything they did than what we did. We couldn’t go with it unfortunately today.

“It’s disappointing for the amount of fans that came across today, because they were here in good numbers.”

Anderson now knows that his team must ready themselves for another tough test this week, when they travel to Castleford Tigers.

He added: “We’ve got to dust ourselves down. We’re very fortunate in one respect that we play Thursday night; we haven’t got time to lick our wounds, we’ve got to make sure we crack on.”
