Toronto Wolfpack have confirmed the signing of former Great Britain and England international prop forward Ryan Bailey.

The 32-year-old played the majority of his club career at Leeds Rhinos, and has also appeared in Super League for Hull KR, Castleford Tigers and Warrington Wolves.

Toronto Head of Rugby Brian Noble said: “It’s another great signing for the Wolfpack. Ryan is one of the most decorated players in the history of Super League.

“He brings with him a great attitude, presence, and key experience. Best of all he understands his role in the scheme of a game of footy.”

Bailey added: “It feels great to be back playing and continuing my career at Toronto Wolfpack. I’ve been out of the game since the Grand Final last year, but I’ve kept myself fit.

“This is the first time I’ve met Rowles (Paul Rowley) and been under him as coach, but I can see he’s a great guy and I’m looking forward to the next two years.

“Toronto are on the up, and this is one reason I wanted to join. The lads seem to work hard for each other, and that’s probably why they’re doing great at the minute.

“I want to thank the club for the opportunity and can’t wait to get on the field for my debut.”
