Smith wary of Hull’s return home

Warrington coach Tony Smith believes Hull FC will be dangerous opponents back at the KC Stadium.

The Black and Whites have not played at home for a while, and their passionate fans might give the team a real boost against the Wolves.

Smith certainly believes that Lee Radford‘s inconsistent side should offer a stern test for his players on their own patch.

“When they’re good they’re very good. They’re going to be a dangerous team this week, they haven’t played at home for about a month now,” he said.

“They’ve re-seeded their pitch, so they’ll be keen to get that home support behind them again and try to get back into winning ways.

“That makes for a really dangerous fixture for us.”

Smith, meanwhile, was particularly pleased by the way that his young players dug in and played well against Bradford last week.

“We leaked a few too many points, but Bradford were determined and put out a decent display as well,” he said.

“We played some good rugby league, particularly with some of the injuries we’ve got at the moment. Some of those young guys who are stepping up are doing a fantastic job.”
