26 year old Hull KR winger Peter Fox will not see out the last year of his contract at the club having agreed to join Wakefield Wildcats from 2012 on a three year deal.

Fox left the Wildcats in 2008 to join Hull KR, the same year as making his debut for England, and has spent four seasons at the club.

Speaking on the Hull KR website Fox said “Being at Craven Park for the past four years has been a great experience and my thanks go to the support of the players, backroom staff, directors and, particularly, a great set of fans.”

“Having been the club’s top try scorer for the first three campaigns, this season has been a disappointment, being in and out of the side and discovering that Rovers were willing to release me from the last year of my contract.

“The Wildcats were my first Super League club and it is exciting to make a return when they have just been granted a new Super League licence, are rebuilding the side and have ambitions to build a new stadium.”
