Baile signs new Catalans deal

Catalans have tied up another of their French internationals by signing Jean Philippe Baile on a new two-year deal.

Baile, 22, has settled in the squad as a centre after starting the season at hooker, and his versatility has made him an important member of Kevin Walters’ squad.

Baile said: “I’m delighted to extend my contract with Catalans Dragons. I’m looking forward to improve with the club in the two next seasons.”

Football Manager Sebastien Munoz said: “It’s a great news for the club. Jean Philippe is a young French player who has showed this season all his potential. We hope he will confirm during the two next seasons that he will be able to become a key player in the team.”

Baile follows in the footsteps of Cyril Gossard and Cyril Stacul who have both recently signed new deals.
