Steve Price frustrated Warrington had to play five days after Wembley

Warrington coach Steve Price believes there is a player welfare issue with his side having to play five days after the Challenge Cup final.
The Wolves won the Challenge Cup on Saturday as they beat St Helens 18-4 at Wembley.
But they were back in action just five days after on Thursday, losing 22-6 to Salford at the AJ Bell Stadium.
When asked if he thought there was a player welfare issue with the scheduling, Price replied: “100%. It is a no-brainer isn’t it? We’ve played every Challenge Cup game so we have played 31 games already this year.
“We came back to training on Wednesday. It’s important that the players get a few days off now and spend time with their loved ones and then we go again for next Friday against Wakefield.
“It is just disappointing that we couldn’t be at our best tonight for particular reasons but I was really proud of the effort. We had some late changes at training yesterday but we put the gloves on and had a good swing.
“Salford are a quality football team and I think that is six on the bounce now for them. They play a good style of footy and you have got to give credit where it is due.”
