Willie Poching will return to Wakefield as assistant coach from November 1.

Poching, who played for Trinity between 1999-01, is currently working under Tony Smith as assistant coach at Hull KR.

Poching said: “It feels great to be back here. It’s a move I’m really excited about.

“Being here with Chezzy (Chris Chester) will be great and the club has some top ambitions.

”This club is going in the right direction and it’s up to me now to try and input some of my knowledge on the squad.”

Wakefield coach Chris Chester said: “I really enjoyed working with Willie at Hull KR.

”We’ve kept in touch since those days and I’m looking forward to working with him again, and I know the boys will love working with him too.”
