York have re-signed Will Jubb on a one-year deal.

Jubb, 23, previously captained the City of Hull Academy side and made a try-scoring debut for Hull KR in the 2016 Super League Qualifiers. He first joined the Knights on dual registration in 2017, before making the move permanent the following season.

“I’m really excited to still be part of the York City Knights journey and have the opportunity to play my part in what the club is wanting to achieve,” said Jubb.

“It was an absolute no brainier for me to sign again as I love the club, the fans are absolutely unbelievable and we have a great set of lads here. Nothing can compare to playing with all the lads in front of the Knights fans and how they really get behind the team and lift us throughout the games and that is something I wouldn’t want to play without.

“I’m also really excited to get to play in the new stadium, which looks absolutely fantastic. Having the chance to work with a great coach in Fordy – and all the coaching staff – again was another big factor and will definitely help me to keep improving my game and trying to get better which I’m always looking to do.

“I’m really happy to still have the chance to represent York City Knights and I’m looking forward to the challenge of another year of Championship rugby and getting back into it after such a tough year for everyone.”
