Wakefield’s Danny Cowling has joined Doncaster on a dual registration deal.

The 20-year old has represented his country at under 16 level, after signing his first contract in 2009.

He will be made available for Doncaster’s game against Rochdale this weekend. Wakefield’s Keiran Hyde and Russ Spiers are also in contention for the Dons.

Doncaster coach Tony Miller said: “I’m delighted Danny has joined the Dons. He’s a big, natural athlete and I’m sure he’ll cause our opponents problems.

“Danny has been in good form for Wakefield’s academy team and scored their winning try in last weekend’s win over Salford.

“Once again I’d like to thank Wakefield for allowing another of their promising players to join us and I’m looking forward to getting the best out of him.”
