Widnes have parted company with full back Loz Wildbore with immediate effect.
A statement on the official club website said: “The Hull based fullback joined the Vikings in the close season from Featherstone Rovers where he picked up seven awards following their 2007 campaign but has struggled to balance work and training commitments with Widnes.
“This was further compounded by the recent decision to train in the evenings and as a result the decision was taken to part company.
“Everybody at Widnes Vikings wishes Loz well for his future career.”
Widnes are currently third in the Championship despite yesterday’s loss at lowly Batley, but have played more games than anybody else in the league.
