Wigan concern over Tomkins injury

Wigan forward Joel Tomkins may be headed for surgery on his troublesome knee and could miss the rest of the 2016 season.

Tomkins was sidelined for the win over Catalans last weekend.

He is set for a scan and may have to go under the knife.

“We don’t know yet for certain, he’s going for another scan and to see the specialist,” Wigan coach Shaun Wante told Wigan Today.

“It’s on both knees… it’s not looking good.”
