Whiting to miss derby clash

Hull utility Richard Whiting will miss the Magic Weekend derby clash against Hull KR through suspension.

Whiting, 27, pleaded guilty to a dangerous contact on London’s Omari Caro in the Airlie Birds’ 14-12 win over the Broncos at Priestfield Stadium on Sunday.

He was charged by the RFL Match Review Panel yesterday, and opted to take an early guilty plea.

The former Featherstone Rovers man has scored two tries in 13 Super League appearances this season.
