Whaling quits Sheffield

Sheffield Eagles CEO John Whaling has resigned from his position at the club.

Whaling was appointed chief executive of the Championship club in February.

A former president of the RFL, he previously was an associate director of the Eagles.

Whaling announced his departure today:

I have resigned from my position as CEO @SheffieldEagles after a difference of opinion at our board meeting on Tuesday. I hope they survive
