Weyman will face Warrington

Hull KR prop Michael Weyman has had a two-match ban rescinded by the RFL, on appeal.

The Australian had received the ban after being charged with using foul and abusive language, directed at referee Tim Roby, in Rovers’ 54-12 defeat at Castleford Tigers recently.

His case was heard by an RFL disciplinary hearing on Tuesday evening, and the suspension lifted. They ruled that there was sufficient doubt that the remarks were definitely aimed at the match official, after the player claimed he had directed them at a team-mate.

He is now free to line up for his club in Friday’s game against Warrington Wolves at te KC Lightstream Stadium.
