Westwood and Garcia charged

Warrington back rower Ben Westwood could miss his team’s Challenge Cup semi-final tie this weekend against Hull KR.

The England international has been charged with making a Grade B shoulder strike on Luke Gale in the game against Castleford Tigers.

Westwood does not have the option of an Early Guilty Plea (EGP), and will appear at a tribunal on Tuesday evening.

The other player charged is Benjamin Garcia of Catalans Dragons.

He has been charged with making a Grade A dangerous throw on Kylie Leuluai in the fixture against Leeds Rhinos.

Garcia has until 11am on Tuesday to submit an EGP.
