West Wales bring in dual code forward for 2019

West Wales have signed dual code forward Mike Connor for the 2019 season.

Dual code Connor began playing rugby league for South Wales Scorpions and has previously represented Wales at Under-18s, Under-20s and Students.

After his spell in league, he returned to rugby union as he became a WRU hub officer and a coach for Cardiff Blues Ladies squad.

His most recent time in rugby union saw him travel to Dubai to play 7s, and he has now come back to rugby league to play with the Raiders in League 1 this year.

West Wales’ coach Kim Williams: “The signing of Mike adds another level of depth to our forward pack which now looks to have a good balance between experience and youth.

“Mike has played at this level before and can cover the second-row or lock positions. He has arrived at the club with an obvious determination to establish himself in League 1.

“I have no doubt he will be a very good signing for us for season 2019.”
