We are working hard to put it right, says Yeaman

Hull FC and England centre Kirk believes two strenuous weeks on the training field could be key to the Black and Whites rediscovering their form after suffering a mid-season blip.

Three disappointing results in recent weeks against Wakefield, last year’s grand finalists St Helens and neighbours Hull KR have seen them collect one point out of the last three games.

For Hull FC they could have easily won these trio of games, nevertheless, with Peter Gentle’s side lying joint fourth on the ladder, Yeaman has stressed there will be no panic in the Hull squad and that the break this weekend could be to turning around their fortunes.

He said, “I think a break has come at the right time without a doubt. We’ve bought into the idea of having a big two weeks on the training field and working hard to put things right after what’s happened over the past weeks.

“It’s very frustrating and disappointing. I don’t think any team should lose the game when leading by 20 points, but we are doing a lot of silly little things at the moment that are really costing us.

“But I’m sure that after a couple off very tough weeks out on the training field that we’ll be ready to put that right against Warrington.”

Hull FC face an intimidating trip to high-flyers Warrington Wolves next.
