Wigan coach Shaun Wane was left angry and frustrated after his side fell to Widnes at home.

The Vikings, with seemingly nothing to play for, upset the Warriors at the DW Stadium.

“I’m really disappointed, we lacked composure and our game management was off too,” Wane told the media after the game.

“Fair play to them, they turned up and played a really good game.

“They’ve nothing to play for and we’ve everything to play for but we started too slowly.

“I said to the players after the game, be ready, we’ll sort this out tomorrow.”

Wane said he is players were hurting after the loss.

“We’ll go to Hull and Warrington now and we’ll start better than we did tonight,” he said.

“The players are hurting badly.”

Wane denied he was feeling under pressure before ending the press conference prematurely.
