Utility forward Chev Walker has signed a new one-year deal at Bradford.

Walker, 31, has been with the Bulls since 2010 and becomes the 13th member of James Lowes’ squad for 2015.

He said: “My personal aim is to help steer the ship, while offering experience.

“For me, firstly, it is a matter of paying the club back for the faith showed in me to begin and, secondly, it is about helping Bradford back into Super League – where they belong.

“I have already declared how much I love the place and am looking forward to what should be an exciting journey.”

Walker has been sidelined since July with a hand injury, but is hoping to make a return before the end of the season.

He joins team-mates Adam O’Brien, Dale Ferguson, Adam Sidlow, Tom Olbison, Adam Henry and Lee Gaskell in committing to the club.

Coach James Lowes said: “Before picking up his hand injury, last month, Chev had certainly found some form and was looking really good.

“Chev is a very strong individual, who offers our team a huge amount, and it is great to have him secured for next season.

“He is vastly experienced and has performed at the top of the sport, in a number of different scenarios.

“He will act as a real leader for us next year, guiding some of our younger recruits in what will be an exciting, yet challenging Championship campaign.”

Bradford have already confirmed the new signings of Dan Fleming, Jake Mullaney, Etu Uaisele, Dave Petersen and Mark Offerdahl for the 2015 campaign.
