Wakefield stadium approved

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats will have a new home after planning permission for their new stadium was passed. 

The Newmarket Development, which will incorporate the Wildcats’ new community stadium, has been approved by the Secretary of State.

The new stadium will be based next to junction 30 of the M62, providing easy access for travelling fans. The Wildcats are expected to move into their new home for the start of the 2015 Super League season.

The 12,000 capacity stadium will be owned by Wakefield and District Community Trust.
