Wakefield sign Olly Ashall-Bott on loan from Huddersfield

Wakefield have signed full-back Olly Ashall-Bott on an initial two-week loan from Huddersfield.

Ashall-Bott joined the Giants ahead of this season from London Broncos and featured for Ian Watson’s side in pre-season, but has yet to make a competitive appearance for the club.

The 23-year-old had initially agreed to join Ottawa Aces before the Canadian club postponed their entry to League 1 until 2022 because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Ashall-Bott came through the ranks at hometown club Widnes, making 15 first team appearances before joining London in 2020.

There is an option to extend his loan at Wakefield should it be beneficial two both parties, the Huddersfield club have confirmed.
