Wakefield have released prop Richard Moore while also revealing that new signing Jesse Joe Parker will not be joining the club.

Moore, 29, is expected to sign with Super League rivals Crusaders shortly having spent four seasons at Belle Vue.

Wildcats Chief Executive James Elston said: “Allowing Richard to leave gives us room within our Salary Cap to bring in new players, we are currently active in recruitment both in England and the NRL.”

Papua New Guinea international Parker had signed a deal for the club in 2011 having played for Featherstone last season, although his spell at Post Office Road was cut short by an illness to his son.

However, he will now not be joining the Wildcats after failing to meet a timescale set by the club with regards to his administrative responsibilites.
