USA prop is latest Bradford recruit
Bradford have signed USA World Cup prop Mark Offerdahl on a one-year deal for 2015.
Offerdahl, 26, started this season with Championship side North Wales Crusaders, before agreeing a move to St George-Illawarra Dragons in the NRL.
He said: “As soon as the chance to play for such a big club came up, I jumped at it and had very little hesitation in doing so.
“I am certainly looking forward to the challenge at hand. I cannot wait to get back over to the UK and get everything underway.
“For me, the sky is the limit and the chance of making it back into Super League – with the Bulls – is one I am relishing.”
Offerdahl was one of the stand-out performers as the USA Tomahawks reached the quarter-finals of last year’s World Cup, before being beaten by eventual winners Australia.
Comfortable at prop or in the second-row, Offerdahl has previously played for Manly and in France for Carcassonne.
Bulls coach James Lowes said: “Mark will add a lot of power, size and energy to our front line next year.
“He is a player who has really impressed me and I am pleased with the homework we have done on him.
“Mark is keen to come over and have a crack at Super League with us. But, in order to do that, he knows he will have to play his part in helping us earn promotion in 2015.”
