Ukraine’s European Championship B match against Italy, scheduled for Kharkiv on July 5, has been switched to Italy due to the ongoing political crisis in Ukraine.

Last month, Ukraine’s home clash against Russia, also scheduled for Kharkiv, which is the headquarters of the Ukrainian Rugby League Federation (UFRL), was moved to the Moscow region.

The Italian foreign ministry is warning its citizens against all travel to eastern Ukraine at present, prompting the Rugby League European Federation to move the fixture on the same date.

The Federazione Italiana Rugby League will confirm the host venue in due course

All three of Ukraine’s matches in the competition this year will be played away, with the reverse fixtures now scheduled for Ukraine in 2015.
