Toulouse sign Italy international Dean Parata

Toulouse have signed Italy hooker Dean Parata from Barrow for the 2019 season.

The 27-year-old came through the system at NRL side Wests Tigers and impressive performances in the New South Wales Cup earned him a move to Championship side Barrow Raiders for 2018.

Parata was born and raised in Sydney but qualifies to represent Italy through family heritage.

On signing for Olympique, Parata said: “I am very excited to join Toulouse and take part in this project.

“I love the way the team plays and I will hopefully help the club reach Super League.”

Toulouse chairman Bernard Sarrazain added: “Dean is one of those players that caught our attention this season.

“Above all, it showed a great desire to come to Toulouse. It is a pleasure to welcome an international player to the club.”
