Toulouse defended their French Women’s crown after claiming a 32-8 victory over Déesses Catalanes at the Stade Gilbert Brutus.

Toulouse made a quick start to the showpiece and scored two early tries to go 10-0 after just 20 minutes.

The match then balanced out however, the Catalans outfit simply couldn’t put points on the board.

Just before the half-time break, Toulouse were able to grab two extra tries and take an 18-0 lead into the interval.

The visitors picked up where they had left off in the second half and a fifth attempt of the game saw them increase their lead even further.

In the 56th minute, Deesses Catalanes hit back with their first effort of the game. Not long after they had their second however, Toulouse were not about to let their lead slip and the visitors added more points to claim a famous 32-8 win at the home of the Dragons.

This game marks an end to the women’s season over in France. The competition gets back underway in November but not before Deesses Catalanes travel to Castleford to take on the Tigresses in a rematch for the Her RL Trophy.
