Toulouse have signed Italy international winger Chris Centrone from Wyong Roos.

Centrone, 26, has played at the last two World Cups and has been on the books of NRL clubs Canterbury and South Sydney, without making a first grade appearance.

He said: “I am very excited to join Toulouse and to play again with Johno (Johnathan Ford) and Killer (Mark Kheirallah).

“I enjoyed playing with them at Wyong and I’m sure our association can bring something extra to Toulouse.

“I can not wait to meet the rest of the team and play under Sylvain (Houles).

“I am grateful to Toulouse for giving me this opportunity and I will make sure to give my best on and off the pitch.”

Centrone hails from Newcastle, Australia and can play across the back line.

He has scored five tries in nine appearances for Italy, and also played in their famous 15-14 win over England ahead of the 2013 World Cup.
