Thompson wants FC revenge on Hull KR

Hull FC utility back Jordan Thompson wants revenge when his team travel across the city to meet rivals Hull KR at the KC Lightstream Stadium on Friday evening.

Although FC beat Rovers convincingly at the Magic Weekend in Newcastle, Chris Chester’s KR side did win the game at the KC Stadium earlier in the season.

Now Thompson wants to repay the Robins for that home defeat by beating them on their own soil.

“My personal thought is we owe them one. They beat us on our patch so we need to give it to them and take one back on theirs,” he told the Hull Daily Mail.

“It was a terrible feeling losing to Rovers earlier on in the season at the KC.

“We go to the fans after every game and clap them, but after that match finished we could feel how hurt they were by the fact that the stadium was empty.

“We definitely need to give our fans something to cheer about. We need to beat KR on their patch and make them feel the same pain we felt in April.”
