Bradford Bulls forward Samir Tahraoui is looking forward to tangling with some old friends when his team welcomes Whitehaven to the Provident Stadium this weekend.

The 24-year-old spent time at Haven on loan last season, before agreeing a two-year deal with Bradford in the autumn.

He is also relishing appearing in front of the Bradford fans for the first time this season.

“I am really looking forward to playing against Whitehaven for the first time, every player looks to impress against their former club,” Tahraoui told his club’s official website.

“The supporters blew me away at Leigh, over 2,000 making the trip is a phenomenal effort.

“I did not know what to expect in terms of away support but I was thoroughly impressed by what I saw.

“Our supporters were extremely vocal and they contributed to a terrific atmosphere, which can often be the difference in close games.

“I am very much looking forward to making my first appearance in front of them on Sunday. We want to turn the place into a fortress.

“It is something we have spoken about as a team. We are determined to make the most of our home fixtures this year, because we need to make the trip to Bradford one which our opposition will not look forward to or enjoy.”
