Super League trio suspended

Widnes’ Paul McShane, Wakefield’s Dean Collis and Joe Westerman of Hull have all been handed one match bans.

All three players submitted early guilty pleas to their Grade B disciplinary offences in Round 23, automatically ruling them out of this weekend’s Super League action.

McShane was cited for a forearm tackle on Brett Kearney during the Vikings’ 38-26 defeat against Bradford on Sunday, and will now miss their trip to his parent club Leeds.

Wakefield will be without Collis for their home game against St Helens after he was found guilty of making a throw on Castleford prop Stuart Jones, while Westerman was charged with making a reckless high tackle on Wigan’s Epalahame Lauaki.
